We have the skills to guide a project through the complete life-cycle from initiation to implementation. However our view is that this project life-cycle is too limited.
A project can progress through these stages and deliver outcomes for a client, but unless there has been a real focus on benefits to shape the how, why and what is delivered, then there is no change, just a bunch of deliverables.
Our view is that benefit management is the DNA of any project. We use Big Picture Facilitation to map the benefit flow, before the project even kicks off. Vision > Objectives > Requirements > Deliverables > Outcomes > Benefits.
Then at the end of the project we demand that benefit management techniques are used to make the real change that was envisaged at the start. Our view is that this transition to business as usual is the most complex and challenging part of any business change. That is why it so often ignored.
